How to apply
Companies are invited to submit an executive summary or business plan to email@example.com or contact one of the fund’s Partners.
The company will then meet with Nausicaa’s investment team and submit a detailed business plan covering the following topics:
- the company’s leadership team and relevant experience
- products and technology, including potential development
- market potential and value proposition
- business model, cost structure and pricing
- current and potential competitors
- intellectual property
- financial plan and assumptions
- use of investment funds
- shareholders’ structure and shareholder’s rights
All information will be held in strictest confidentiality.
After the first review, the company’s leadership team will make a presentation to the Nausicaa Ventures Investment Committee.
Nausicaa Ventures will then complete an in-depth due diligence review of the investment project. The due diligence team will be comprised of the fund’s Partners and selected investors with relevant experience in the company’s field of activity. The Investment Committee will then decide whether to extend an investment term sheet to the candidate company.
Before any investment is completed, Nausicaa will carry out additional legal, fiscal and financial reviews and finalise the investment terms with the candidate company.
The conditions for a fruitful partnership are mutual trust and respect, a shared strategic vision, ambitious but attainable business and financial objectives and milestones, strict financial control, and an acute sense of what it will take to exit successfully.
The investment decision process typically takes 2 to 6 months. Well-prepared companies can usually get a quicker decision.
Nausicaa Ventures acts as a true partner to all of its portfolio companies.
We would expect to hold one director’s seat on the Board of each investee company and usually assign observers to the Board that are familiar with its field of business.
We bring to bear our leadership team’s extensive experience in coaching early stage companies and draw on the Nausicaa’s pool of talent to provide post-investment support through hands-on strategic and operational assistance.
Last but not least, we play a prominent role in the preparation and execution of the exit by working closely with the company’s leadership and its other shareholders.
